MY SACRIFICE
by: Jonalyn O. Damian
I hate to die, to die unexpectedly, dying for a stupid reason, dying painfully and worst of all, dying alone. But I'm not scared to die for the one I love, for those whom I shared my life with and for those who is willing to die for me, too.
Our family is our life, our life is our family. Our relationship with them should be treasured the most. Our family will not be complete without our wall. Our wall stands high and serves as the foundation of our home. Our wall is hard as rock but as gentle as the gentlest breeze. It is composed yet understanding, it is high as mountain but it does not boast. It serves as our shield for the coldest rain that pours from the heavens and as our defense for the roughest wind from the South.
Our wall is the greatest master of all time, he lets us realize and analyze things and supplies us a vivid description of the unthinkable. Our wall is our clown. By the time he cracks jokes, our lives will be full of smiles and laughter that will soon become a relief for our pain. These wall is incomparable, undefeated and one of a kind. I love the wall's strength, power and abilities.
Our home shines because of our light: our light never dims and always shines for our own good. It is as bright as a star but not striking nor as powerful as a strong force but not that overwhelming.
Our light is our best teacher. She taught us values and traits that is programmed in our minds, in sequence and in order - right attitude in life that we imbibed for us to become role models and not to become failures in life.
Our light is our best compass. She shows as paths clearly and overcomes rocky roads for our safety. Our light is our miracle healer. She gives us the best-prescribed medicine that we need to heal our wounds and scratches. I love the glistening touch of our light, its gentleness , its truthfulness and its guidance.
I can give up all the pleasures in this world for our wall and our light... for they will be there to love, to care, to comfort, and to shelter us from harm.
Our mother and our father to whom we trust all our being, to whom we bequeath all our passion, to whom we should be willing to risk our everything, to whom we will cherish all the happiest days of our life., to whom we will shed our tears in times of grief, to whom.. we'll be willing to die for.
