BOYFRIEND

According to Wikipedia.org "A boyfriend is a person's regular male companion in a romantic or sexual relationship, though normally not in long-term committed (eg. marital) relationships, where other titles (e.g. husband, partner) are more commonly used. On the other hand, the term "boy friend" (or in some areas "guy friend") can refer to a male non-romantic and non-sexual friend."

SOME OFTEN SAY

• a girl's favorite male friend or usually male companion; someone you can rely on and share your feelings with, one whom you can take advise from, someone you respect but not necessary a lover
• a favored male companion or sweetheart
• a male friend
• a male friend with whom a person is romantically or sexually involved; sweetheart or love

Certainly there can be a lot of ways in defining the word "boyfriend". But it will all end up in the word "friend". So is it necessary for a teenage girl to have a boyfriend? Or is it just the society that dictates the fact that she needs one? When she can instead have a male constant companion or a friend? And the answer, it's a big "I DON'T KNOW".


In the video made by Christine who impersonated her whole family, her aunt is trying to make Christine jealous about her cousin's boyfriend. Which apparently didn't cause Christine any envious emotion. But the fact that they were concerned about Christine having none makes me go back to the same questions above that, is it really needed for a girl to get into a relationship just to consider her a true bloom woman? The anwer is so debatable so I guess I just leave these questions hanging for you to answer.
